Our Goals   In the Bear Den, there are four general achievement groups: God, Country, Family, and Self. There are 120 achievement tasks and your Bear Cub must earn a certain number of achievements in each of the four groups to earn his Bear Badge.  This is the year your son will grow in amazing ways. After earning their Bear Badge, the scout may earn arrow points by completing additional achievement tasks.

Summary Much of the advancement for the Bear rank is done by the scout with his family outside of the den.  The parent signs off in the scout's handbook and the Den Leader records the advancements from the handbook in our tracking Software.  The Bear program relies heavily on family involvement, but you will see this gradually change with the scout doing more with his den and more individual direction as he graduates to Webelos.

Ready to join? Then you probably have some questions. Email Lisa at den3.pack742@gmail.com and leave your phone number and Diane will get back with you as soon as possible.

What the Bears are "Doing"...
  • Wolf Parent Leaders Needed
We need parents help to lead each meeting. Each family should take on a lead role at one meeting. This would be to provide the main activity of the meeting. The Den leader will set the stage for the meeting and lead the schedule.

We follow our Wolf Handbook for meeting requirements and achievements. Please review and let us know if you can assist with a meeting.

    Thank you!
